With the new release of Dialect Recordings this fantastic label proves again that many of us have a gap in knowledge!
Did you know that Norway is the home of fantastic producers in dance music.
Scandinavia in common isn’t just the home of Metal and Pop. Especially the Norway producers have a unique way of bridging
the gap of serious music and fun, dance music and the special extra!
With these seven tracks you get a little bit closer behind the secrets of Norway’s special way of producing music.
Lindstrom kicks off with “Monsteer” a discoesque Techmonster with a recognizable vocal synthsound.
A track with vintage moog sounds and funny effect, but no nonsense, serious fun! A cool dance track!
Chin Chin’S Toot D’Amore is a forward driving track with an ethnic percussion sound. Great this is a track for the midnight hour!
Hands in the air and dance..Ostjex&Kjex are represented with two tracks. Milano Model (A Thrilling Mungophony In Two Parts)
is an electronica epos that can only be named as a masterpiece. Great and monumental. The second one called “Foodchild” is a
mixture of minimalistic Tech sounds and crazy soundscapes who add themselves to a floor filling dance sound.
This track is at first sight odd for the dancers ear, but after a second you will be mesmerized by the hidden dance beat.
This track is a miracle!
Trulz&Robin’s “Acid Cake” is a cool and funky track with a mysterious atmosphere, its laid-back and demanding.
A mixture that is nonesuch and real sexy. “Move your Ass Guttan!” is the second one by Trulz&Robin. Framed by a fat
synthsound mixed with a minimal beat and fx this track is the one who will fill the dance floor in the early morning,
even the tired dancers will enter the dance floor again. This track owns a dramaturgy that can be found in the great
classic dance tracks of your life. Hell yeah! Rewind Trulz&Robin.
The last one is done by “of Norway” called “Arch Enemy N° 1”, a fantastic dance track with a absolute stunning intro.
And suddenly the whole track turns into a storm of sounds. Hot hot heat steams out of the loudspeakers.
This track is really fascinating - it disperses such a fantastic atmosphere, you can feel the heat and the enthusiasm it generates.
Not convinced yet - listen to this wonderful compilation and I guarantee you that you will state “I love Norway!”
